If you’re considering breast implant surgery and live in Tampa, New Port Richey, Odessa, or anywhere else in Florida, you can visit one the state’s most highly regarded breast surgeons, Dr. John Roach, at the Bayside Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Roach completed seven years of intensive training in general, plastic, and reconstructive surgery, and is well known for his expertise in breast enhancement and breast reconstruction surgeries. When you turn to him for your breast implant surgery, Dr. Roach will help you choose the type of implants, placement, and surgical technique to best produce the results you want.

The first thing you’ll mostly like want to consider is the type of implants you want used for your breast augmentation. Dr. Roach works with both saline and silicone breast implants, as well as the innovative gummy bear implants, which are filled with a unique, cohesive silicone gel. All of these implant options are FDA approved, and offer unique benefits that Dr. Roach can explain during your consultation.
O
nce you’ve decided on a type of breast implant for your surgery, Dr. Roach will decide whether to place your breast implants above or below your pectoral muscle, depending on your breast anatomy and your unique needs. He also specializes in a technique called dual-plane breast augmentation, in which the implant is placed partially above and partially below the pectoral muscle. This type of placement can enhance the appearance of the breast by creating more lift for the breast tissue. Many breast implant surgeons also believe that this technique produces more natural looking results. The type, size, and placement of your implants in relation to the chest muscle will determine which surgical technique is used to place the implants in the breast pocket. Dr. Roach can make an incision at the areola, in the underarm area, or underneath the breast.
